Our story begins in 1915, when Guy V. Cochran and his father, B.F. Cochran, opened a retail wholesale distribution business, supplying independent grocers throughout rural Georgia. In 1969, Guy V.'s son, Ben Cochran, joined the company, and in 1979, along with his son-in-law, Gus Ladson, Cochran Brothers opened the first Friendly Gus convenience store. Ben's son, Guy, joined the company shortly thereafter, and with the help of his two brothers, Ash and Wick, Cochran Brothers Company expanded. Today, we have grown to fifteen Friendly Gus convenience stores, including a wholesale grocery store, located throughout Middle Georgia. Now in our fifth generation, our family remains committed to fueling your family for years to come.
